Become an EYC Scholar

We are looking for young African American, Black identifying students (6th grade to college) who want help in maximizing their personal potential. For the last 30 years, EYC has been the leading advocate for young African Americans on the Central Coast. We provide financial support for students pursuing a post-secondary education who demonstrate the intellectual aptitude, personal resilience and social responsibility to be successful. We will also consider financial support for middle schoolers and high school students to participate in social and academic enrichment programs, which may assist them in preparing for a post-secondary experience. In turn, once a Scholar graduates or earns a degree, it is our hope that these students give back as a “Pay It Forward Ambassador” to give back to our younger EYC Scholars.
